Dude, DOZENS of fucking people moved to Athens just 'cause they liked NMH so much! How creepy is that? And they did more than just live there, you know, they wanted to go and talk to Jeff and hang out! This in his hometown, after coming back off of a tour where everyone sang along to the music louder than Jeff 'cause they were all sooo moved by it. I thught those shows were awesome and a groundswell at the time but I didn't consider the psychic toll on Jeff. This is my understanding of what went down, based mostly on talks with mutual friends in Athens. I always thought it rude at best to be like "Tell me about your worst stalkers!?" -- you know?
